Required Dance Wear

Recommended Dance Shoes

Ballet: Any color leotard, pink tights, and pink split sole ballet shoes.  Hair should be pulled up in a tight bun and slicked out of face.  If hair is too short to get into a bun, make sure to get as much hair as possible away from the face.  No skirts or shorts are allowed. Male dancers should wear tight fitting clothing and black split sole ballet shoes.

Combo Classes:  Young dancers in combo classes are allowed to wear any fun dancewear.  Leotards, tutus, and tights are all acceptable.  Dancers will need two pairs of shoes based on their combo class.  2, 3, and 4 Year Old Combo classes will need pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes.  5 & 6 Year Old Ballet and Contemporary combo will need pink ballet shoes and tan jazz shoes.  

Hip Hop/Tap:  Any comfortable, loose fitted clothing. i.e. sweatpants, tank tops, etc.  Closed toe shoes are required.  Yoga pants/leggings must have something wrapped around the waist.  Booty shorts and crop tops are not allowed.  Hair may be down as long as it's not a distraction from class, otherwise it will need to be pulled back.  Hats are acceptable. 

Jazz, Contemporary, Progressions:  Any color tight fitting dance wear is acceptable.  Jazz shoes or pirouettes are acceptable for these classes, but dancers should check with their instructor for what they recommend the class day.  Half tops/sports bras are allowed, but dancers must put on a cover up before leaving the studio.  Tights are not required or suggested.  Hair should be pulled out of the face in a bun or ponytail unless asked otherwise by the instructor.

Acro: Tight fitting dance wear is required for this class.  All straps must be 2 inches or more.  No loose fitting or baggy clothes are accepted for the safety of the dancers.  Dancers will be bare footed, no socks or shoes are permitted.  Hair must be pulled out of the face securely- if hair is too long, a bun may be necessary so it doesn't interfere with the safety of each student.  

Stretch and Conditioning: Any work out clothing is acceptable.  Dancers are asked to bring sneakers, ankle weights, tennis/lacrosse ball, and resistance bands with them to class as the class changes each week.  Hair must be pulled back in a pony tail or bun.  

Ballet: Pink Canvas Capezio Pro Ballet Shoe*

Combo: Pink Capezio Daisy Ballet Shoe and Black Capezio Mary Jane Tap Shoe*

Hip Hop: Any street sneaker or combat boot

Tap: Black Capezio Tapster, Fluid Tap, or Teletone Lace Up Tap Shoe

Jazz: Tan Bloch Neoflex Jazz Shoe*

Contemporary: Nude Capezio Pirouette II Canvas or Leather*

* These shoe styles are not required for class but will be required for performances.
