Hannah Bacon-Brightwell is a native of  Southwest Louisiana. She has been an active instructor & choreographer in the dance world for over 12 years.  After training and performing throughout her youth, she went on to attend Northwestern State University of Louisiana where she furthered her dance training in modern/contemporary dance and choreography and went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Business Administration. Upon graduating, she moved to Austin, Texas with her husband where she now is an active member of the dance community. She stays in tune with the adult/professional scene as the Artistic Director for Verge Dance Company, an adult professional contemporary company here in Austin committed to providing dance opportunities to talented professionals in the city and through her regular open classes at Ballet Austin’s Butler Community Center for Dance and Fitness. Hannah also works hard to educate the youth dance community as the Assistant Director of Gravity Dance Company, a Senior Instructor at Alisa’s Dance Academy, the Contemporary & Jazz Instructor for the Austin School of the Visual & Performing Arts, and a modern/contemporary instructor at Evolution Dance Center. Through her work within these companies and outreach to her fellow dancers, she strives to spread passion and creativity to both her students and the dance community in Austin. Through continued training via workshops and intensives around the country, Hannah continually pushes to find new ways to explore the art of dance and expose this incredible art form to people from all walks of life.
