• I began dancing at the age of 8 at Suzi Hughson School of Dance, the local studio in Seguin,
  • Texas. While in Seguin, under the direction of Amanda Gold, I was able to participate in
  • several summer intensives like the Joffrey Ballet which I attended under scholarship, and
  • several dance competitions like Dance Masters of America. Through conventions with DMA
  • I met the owner of Allegro West Academy of Dance, and was offered the opportunity to
  • train with them during the summers. I trained ballet with Catriona Steele and Lyndsey
  • Steele for four summers. By the age of fifteen I knew I needed to look for structured
  • training. I began researching performing art high school around the San Antonio and
  • Houston area, but ended up connecting with Carol De Cardenas- founder of The Austin
  • School for the Performing and Visual Arts. I attended two of their showcases before I
  • decided that was going to be my next stop. At the age of sixteen I had said bye to my
  • parents and moved to a new school: The Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
  • Once there, I trained under Randall Marks, Betsy Hudson, and Christa Oliver. In February
  • 2011, I returned to Dance Masters of America and won the title as Miss Dance of Texas
  • 2011 and attended the national title competition for Miss Dance of America 2011 in
  • Orlando, Florida. I spent the following two summers attending the Complexions
  • contemporary ballet summer intensives directed under Jae Man Joo. In 2014 I became a
  • member of Verge Dance Company under the direction of Hannah Brightwell. To this day, I
  • am still a member with Verge, currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance with a
  • minor in International business, and a work as a supervisor at Randolph Brooks Federal
  • Credit Union.
